This video features the work of Dr. William Courtney, MD and the Cannabis International Foundation, an organisation that conducts and presents scientific studies on the Endogenous Cannabinoid System and Phytocannabinoids. CI’s special interest and research focuses on the medicinal use of fresh, raw cannabis. CI works to preserve strains with unique medicinal profiles and educate patients, health professionals, courts, and elected officials, and to” restore safe access to cannabis worldwide in the name of public health”.
Amongst other tasks and responsibilities, Dr. Courtney is member of the American Academy of Cannabinoid Medicine, the International Cannabinoid Research Society, the International Association of Cannabis as Medicine, and the Society of Clinical Cannabis. Dr. Courtney also teaches Continuing Medical Education (CME) courses in clinical cannabis.
Seen in the movie as well is Kristen Peskuski. She is a patient and researcher, who has used fresh cannabis leaves to ease and cure Systemic Lupus, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Endometriosis and numerous other conditions. She has a background in experimental research design and statistics, which helps her bridge the gap between patients, physicians, and researchers.
The case of a 2 year old child, diagnosed with terminal brain tumors, and treated with fresh cannabis juice, is also described in the video.
